What your hotmail account says...
"Gald darn, I remember it like it wuz yesturday. The public library was in much better shape 15 years ago. Least I still got me my buddrinker51@hotmail account ... ya know they say Al Gore invented the internets."
(p.s. I still have two hotmail accounts)
However, I just setup a cool personal email. Here are the steps I took:
1. Buy your own domain. I did it through GoDaddy because I am close personal friends with Danica Patrick. (NOTE: unless you have a really weird name like Dannon Vogel or Brett Schaibley, your .com will be taken. I bought the .me extension for myself).
COST - about $10 per year.
2. Create your personalized email with your domain (e.g. email@example.com) through Google Apps for Business. There are step-by-step instructions on how to make this all happen. (Don't get too hung up on the business part; just know there is an array of fancy features that go along with the account.)
COST - $5/month or $50/year after 30 day free trial.
3. Eat Chipotle Burrito Bowl to celebrate.
COST - About $6 depending on meat options, restuarant location, and whether you want to add guacamole.
There may be a free way to do this but I was fine with paying $5 a month as I'm familiar with google mail, calendar, contacts, docs, and I'm looking forward to checking out some of the special premium features you get with a paid account yet I'm concerned with my proclivity toward run-on sentences.
Hope this helps!
